Prof. dr. T. Tromp

Thijs Tromp holds the endowed chair of the Diaconate, made possible by the Rotterdam Foundation. The research surrounding the chair is about vitalization and renewal of diaconal work from diaconal organisations and local diaconia. Research into the contribution of the diaconate to social inclusion in church, care and society is central. 

Within the research, the inclusion of people with an intellectual and/or psychiatric disability occupies a special place. A research location has been set up for this purpose, to which Dr. André Mulder is affiliated.
